9 months old!

9 month stats: 19 pounds 3 ounces, 28.75 inches, 44.4 cm head circumference (You jumped from the 12th to 40th percentile in your weight!!)

You are growing like a weed and in to everything these days! Your first tooth came in on 5/1 and you showed the first signs of crawling then too.  You actually put the idea to motion on5/15.  Now you are in to everything and we are having to baby proof in ways we never did with your sister. I think you're going to be our adventurous child!

You're enjoying eating solid foods right now, although things with a lot of texture are not your favorites. You do like black beans and red potatoes a lot though. Your favorites remain pureed baby food such as peas and bananas.

You love bath time and cackle with delight when we pour water over your head. You love to be tipped upside down and tickled!

You're still not sleeping all the way through the night, but doing much better as you only get up once for a quick couple of ounces and a diaper change and go right back to sleep.

You bring us so much joy and happiness and we can't believe you are getting close to a year old. Time slow down! We love you, bud bud!

Spring update

  It is already springtime and it’s so hard to believe! You have done really well as a kindergartner! You are reading well above grade level and are so curious and interested in everything! You have been well-behaved for the most part, but have had just a couple of reminders from your teachers to have self-control during down time. We are so proud of you overall! You just had your Kindergarten musical and you had a speaking part that you rocked! We also just moved into our new house in Chapin and are loving it! After only being in the house for a week, we took a spring break trip to see Grandmommy and Grandaddy and had a great time riding bikes, swimming, and sightseeing around Central Florida. So much to be thankful for and so much fun stuff happening! Now, bring on summer!!!

3rd birthday!!!

 How in the world are you 3 already? You keep us on our toes with your feisty nature for sure, but we love you so and are so proud of how far you've come from a 4 pound preemie to a 3 year old weighing 34 pounds and in the 74th percentile for weight and 76th for height! You are obsessed with our phones and watching videos, playing with your trucks and digger, running around and playing cops and robbers and acting out David and Goliath 800 times a day with your guitar as your sword and paci-roar as your sling shot. You talk loud all the time and are always on the move. Listening is not your favorite thing and you spend quite some time in time out or getting spankings right now, but you'll get there. You are sweet and caring and give hugs and kisses at random. Sleeping is not your favorite thing but you're starting to at least go to bed easier, but still wake up multiple times a night just to be covered up, go potty, or have us lie by you for a few minutes.
