18 month stats and the flu!
We can't believe you are already 18 months old! It seems like you were just born! At 18 months, you weigh in at 24 lbs 2 oz (50th percentile) and are 33.25 inches long (78th percentile!) and have a head circumference of 48 cm (68th percentile). You are talking up a storm saying: uh-oh, mama, daddy, sissy, paci, baby, up, side (outside), nanny me (banana for me), making all the animal noises and dancing like a monkey, car, bus, push, off, on, and many more. Plus you are still doing your adorable zubabababa babbling a lot. Whenever you enter a room or see someone you say "Heeeey" like the Fonz from tv (my goodness, will you even know who that is when you read this? ha ha!)You love pushing cars and trucks and trying to climb things, stealing paper towels to "clean" and then throwing them in the trash can, throwing anything in the trash can, watching baby shark, the wheels on the bus and other songs on tv, doing you animal puzzle, and playing outside with your car (really just stopping to get out and put imaginary gas in it every 2 seconds as we walk the cul de sac. Your favorite thing is to read books with mommy, daddy, and sissy though! We are amazed at how you will sit still and listen to multiple books at a time and you bring us books before toys almost every time!
You are developing a wild side to your shy personality and try to trick by sneaking up the stairs or out of your bedroom door and cackle when you succeed. You are so affectionate and loving, giving hugs and kisses all the time! You make us so completely happy!!!
Unfortunately, this week, just 2 days after your 18 month appointment you developed a high fever and after taking you to urgent care, it was determined that you have the flu! Poor thing! You've been in pretty good spirits while the Tylenol is in you, but once it starts to wear off you are pretty pitiful. We are secretly enjoying the extra snuggles, but wish you weren't feeling so bad! Sissy is staying at Uncle Mitch and Aunt Stacey's to try and avoid getting sick too and Grandmommy and Grandaddy are coming tomorrow to help take care of you since I'm having surgery this week. We sure are blessed with a great village surrounding us and people who love us! God has truly provided more than we deserve! Feel better sweet boy and always remember that you are so so so loved!
