What you’ve been up to lately

 Well, covid is slowing down and we are moving back to more normal day by day. We’ve been having fun and staying busy. We took a trip to the beach for my 40th birthday weekend and had a blast! You have been entertaining us with your cute personality like always as seen in this video of you playing music. 



You also cracked us up recently when you were told you couldn’t go outside to play at daycare because the humidity was too high. You went to the corner and started crying. When they asked you what was wrong you said “ how am I going to get in my dad’s car when he picks me up if I can’t go outside? LOL. Your little brain never stops working and your thinking amazes me. 


We had a great weekend at Mitch and Stacey’s at the lake for Memorial Day and you had fun and caught your first fish! You’d been saying that you wanted to eat fish because it would make you smarter (heard it on a video) and thought that we were trying to make you eat a live fish when we told you to kiss your first catch. You were not happy at all! Later, once you calmed down you were very proud of yourself. Love you, sweet boy!

You finished 1st grade strong and love math and science and reading. This summer you’ve read the Dragon Master’s series and all things Titanic. We’ve had fun going to the library while sissy plays tennis. You tried tennis a couple of times, but you didn’t want to continue. You had fun at basketball camp and your taekwondo continues i n the summer. You are currently a yellow belt after your last test! The summer is winding down and you will be a 2nd grader soon. Spring update

  It is already springtime and it’s so hard to believe! You have done really well as a kindergartner! You are reading well above grade level and are so curious and interested in everything! You have been well-behaved for the most part, but have had just a couple of reminders from your teachers to have self-control during down time. We are so proud of you overall! You just had your Kindergarten musical and you had a speaking part that you rocked! We also just moved into our new house in Chapin and are loving it! After only being in the house for a week, we took a spring break trip to see Grandmommy and Grandaddy and had a great time riding bikes, swimming, and sightseeing around Central Florida. So much to be thankful for and so much fun stuff happening! Now, bring on summer!!!

3rd birthday!!!

 How in the world are you 3 already? You keep us on our toes with your feisty nature for sure, but we love you so and are so proud of how far you've come from a 4 pound preemie to a 3 year old weighing 34 pounds and in the 74th percentile for weight and 76th for height! You are obsessed with our phones and watching videos, playing with your trucks and digger, running around and playing cops and robbers and acting out David and Goliath 800 times a day with your guitar as your sword and paci-roar as your sling shot. You talk loud all the time and are always on the move. Listening is not your favorite thing and you spend quite some time in time out or getting spankings right now, but you'll get there. You are sweet and caring and give hugs and kisses at random. Sleeping is not your favorite thing but you're starting to at least go to bed easier, but still wake up multiple times a night just to be covered up, go potty, or have us lie by you for a few minutes.
