Mid Fall Check In

Image
You are having a great year in pre-k at Creative Beginnings Christian! You love going to school and especially love Fun Fridays where you get to bring a toy from home. You often plan out your toy on Monday in anticipation of the great day to come! Your favorite things right now are building airports and garages out of your giant cardboard blocks and then landing your Lego airplane or lining up all your matchbox cars. You love all things pirates and superheroes and wear your pirate outfit or your cape, shield and sword daily. You are a noise machine and run around with constant energy from the time you sit up until you go to bed at night. You are dramatic and love acting things out (especially death scenes where you fall down after being stunned or shot by a superhero or Bible story villain.  You are stubborn as a mule and have a temper to match. You make the best "mad" face with scrunched up nose and lips and will often pout in the corner (put yourself in time out). How...

Fourth Birthday!

Image
How are you already four years old? You have grown up so much this year, but we still can't believe you are four! You are smart, funny, dramatic, unique, and oh so sweet and loving. This year, we thought we might get away with another family only party, but you decided that you wanted to invite your entire class and church friends to a "real" party.  Your mind could not be changed! We had a pirate themed party at the splash pad with some friends from school and church and you were in heaven! We still had a family party on your actual birthday where we did presents and sissy made you a cake. You start 4k (staying at the daycare for it though) and are working really hard on writing and holding a pencil correctly. You love to "read" and have memorized almost every book we have in the house for you. We can't wait to see all of the awesome things you will accomplish! We love you so much!

What you’ve been up to lately

Image
Well, covid is slowing down and we are moving back to more normal day by day. We’ve been having fun and staying busy. We took a trip to the beach for my 40th birthday weekend and had a blast! You have been entertaining us with your cute personality like always as seen in this video of you playing music.  You also cracked us up recently when you were told you couldn’t go outside to play at daycare because the humidity was too high. You went to the corner and started crying. When they asked you what was wrong you said “ how am I going to get in my dad’s car when he picks me up if I can’t go outside? LOL. Your little brain never stops working and your thinking amazes me.  We had a great weekend at Mitch and Stacey’s at the lake for Memorial Day and you had fun and caught your first fish! You’d been saying that you wanted to eat fish because it would make you smarter (heard it on a video) and thought that we were trying to make you eat a live fish when we told you to kiss yo...

Bible stories

You adore learning about Bible stories at school and love telling them and acting them out. We hope you always love reading the bible:

Paci Roar

Image
Well, this post is extremely late, but a huge part of your life is now over. We didn't think we'd see the day that "paci roar" went bye-bye. You had him up until your mid-third year and we told you when that last paci broke we weren't replacing it. You stopped chewing on it and kept it a lot longer than we expected. You did surprisingly well (we were dreading it) and gave it up without too much pain! A couple of hard to go to sleep nights and then boom- you're a big boy right before our eyes! We love you so much!

Christmas 2020

Image
We had a great time at Christmas this year. Grandmommy and Grandaddy stayed with us for a week. We attended Christmas Eve at church (strange since had to make a reservation and wear masks this year with COVID) and on Christmas day, Grammy and Grandpa Tom came over as well as Uncle Rob. Then, the next day, we went over and had Christmas with Uncle Mitch and Aunt Stacey and all the cousins. So much fun!  Your favorites this year were: candy canes, cookies, your stretchy Spiderman, your CAT Tractor scooter, and your fire chief outfit and accessories. It was so much fun seeing the magic of Christmas from your eyes this year!

First time fishing!

You haven't quite mastered the art of casting, but you sure did have fun with the "fishing rob" that Uncle Jon and Aunt Mandy gave you for your early Christmas gift when we saw then for Thanksgiving. Could you be any cuter? We love you!
